Q. What is a carrier oil?
A. Carrier oils and bases have a variety of uses and can have therapeutic uses. Carrier oils are important in
the practice
of aromatherapy. A carrier oil is usually a vegetable or nut type oil which is skin safe and moisturizing. We stock
five all
natural carrier
oils; apricot kernel oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, sunflower oil, and sweet almond oil. Shelf life for carriers
are approximately 6
months, store out of direct sunlight at room temperature for best results. These oils can be used to make massage
oils,
creams, lotions, soaps, perfumed body oils, and bath oils. We also stock DPG, Dipropylene Glycol which can is used
as a
carrier oil.

Q. Why can I not use the essential oils directly on the skin?
A. These oils are highly concentrated oils and are too strong to use directly on the skin. Essential oils are
similar to
medications and should not be over-used and never used directly on the skin. It is suggested that you wear rubber
type
gloves while mixing these
oils. They should never be taken internally. Keep these oils out of reach of children and pets.

Q. What is the difference between Fragrance Oils and Essential Oils?
A. Essential Oils are natural concentrated essences derived from plants, bark, roots, seeds, stems, flowers,
leaves, fruits,
etc. and are usually steamed distilled. Fragrance Oils normally are made up of a number of synthetic imitations of
essential
oils creating a
fragrance that will smell like a flower, herb, plant or other fragrance.

Q. What Are Candle Additives?
A. Stearic acid- Our triple pressed, vegetable based stearic acid hardens candle wax and produces a longer burn time. The stearic acid gives candles an
opaque or white appearance and aids in oil retention and throw of aroma. Suggested use is 3-6 tablespoons per pound of wax. We suggest to add to the Well
Flake soy wax.
Vybar 103- Vybar improves opacity, prevents mottling, controls oil bleed, retains fragrance and adds strength to your candles. Use Vybar 103 for wax with
melt points over 130 degrees. Use when making pillars and votive candles. Suggested use 1/4 tsp. to 1 tsp. per pound.
Vybar 260- Vybar improves opacity, prevents mottling, controls oil bleed, retains fragrance and adds strength to your candles. Use Vybar 260 for wax with
melt points under 130 degrees. Use when making container and votive candles. Suggested use 1/4 tsp. to 1 tsp. per pound.

oils in
their gel candle
production with favorable results.

Q. Are your fragrance oils suitable for soap making?
A. We have provided the soap making industry with our fragrance oils for years. Early 2004 we began importing
essential oils and currently stock nearly 50 varieties. Currently, we provide over 2,500 soap makers with our
quality
fragrance & essential oils.
These clients generate fantastic results when using our oils in their soap making process. Both Cold Processed and
M&P soap makers are regular customers of our fragrance oils and essential oils. In house testing is suggested
to
perfect techniques and optimize finished
products.

Q. Do you offer descriptions of what the fragrance oils smell like?
A. Yes. We do offer a fragrance description page. The descriptions have been created to give you a basic
understanding of how an aroma may be interpreted. This is not a definitive description as each nose tends to

Q. What are the differences between Premium, Manufactures and Body oil?
Premium Grade fragrance oils are used to add fragrance to melt and pour soap bases, cold processed soaps, all
candle waxes but especially soy wax, unscented incense sticks and cones, bath products and sea salts. Premium Grade
oils can be used in aroma burners and are skin safe. Premium grade fragrance oil is an enhanced formula to provide
additional concentration of the top note while sustaining the middle and base notes in fragrance oils. We have
received numerous compliments from customers who have experienced superior results when using the premium grade.
The premium grade requires less oil to be used when scenting soaps, waxes and lotions while providing superior
aroma qualities. (Please see our FAQs for how much fragrance oil should be added to your products) Premium grade
fragrance oils are strongly suggested for use with Soy Wax and all Natural products.
(Please see
FAQ how much fragrance oil should be added to my ?) Premium grade oils are suggested for use with Soy wax as the
cold
and hot throw are superior.
Manufactures Grade fragrance oils can also be used by soap and candle makers (excluding soy wax users). This
grade of oil may be applied to the skin when blended with other ingredients but is not suggested for direct
application to the body as a perfume oil. No artificial coloring is added to the Manufacturers grade oil.
Body Oils should only be used for direct application on the skin (not blended with other products) or as a
burning oil, Premium grade oil can also be used for these purposes. Body oil is not designed for blending with soap
bases or candle waxes. Some body oils contain FD&C coloring. Therefore apple is red, blueberry is blue and so on.
The pigment does not affect the scent or quality yet enhances the appearance of the fragrance oil at a retail
level. These oils may also be used in light rings, simmering pots and electric oil burners. Body oils do not
contain alcohol, water, surfactants or other cheap diluents. Do not use body oils for melt and pour soap, cold
process soap or candle making. Please use either premium grade or manufacturers grade fragrance oils. Body Oil was
formerly known by Wellington customers as cosmetic grade.
Q. How Can I Make Fragrance Oil Last Longer On My Skin?
A. Fragrance will last longer on the skin that is well moisturized. When applying the fragrance to the skin,
concentrate on pulse points. These areas include wrists, neck, behind your knees and hair line. Don’t
rub your wrists together after applying fragrance as it breaks down the oils. You can also apply a light mist
of fragrance through your hair.
Q. What is the shelf life of Fragrance Oils?
A. When stored properly, out of direct sunlight and well sealed, fragrance oils have a shelf life of
approximately one
year.
Q. What is a Hydrosol?
A. Hydrosols (Also known as Floral Water) are by-products of essential oil production. Hydrosols contain all of the essence of the plant just like essential oils but in a milder form making them suitable for applications where essential oils may be too strong. Try them as a facial splash, body perfume, deodorant or air freshener. Hydrosols can be blended in most bath products and freshen up laundry water. Hydrosols can be packaged in HDPE type plastic containers. We have 20ml mini sprayers that are perfect for floral waters.

Q. What is the shelf life of bath and body products?
A. When stored properly, out of direct sunlight and well sealed, bath and body related products have a shelf
life of
approximately 1 year.
Q. How much fragrance do you suggest to scent a gallon of bath product?
A. The amount used will vary from scent to scent and how strong you desire the bath product to be. However, the

Q. Do you suggest cutting fragrance oil prior to soaking the incense?
A. Yes, we suggest adding D.P.G. This is known to cut down on the black smoke that is emitted from incense. The
ratio
will vary and in house testing is suggested, however, a 70% fragrance and 30% D.P.G. is a normal cutting ratio. We
do sell
D.P.G. and this product information may be found by visiting and reviewing our Massage and Carrier Oil page.
Bath Bomb Recipe
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup epson salts (adds to the fizzing action)
1 to 2 teaspoons Fragrance Oil (optional)
2 1/2 Tbsp sunflower oil or Almond oil
Mix equal parts of water and glycerine. You will need approximately 3/4 teaspoons of this mixture.
1/4 teaspoon borax (an emulsifier) add Colorant (optional)
Step One Put all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix together making sure the citric acid is
thoroughly
dispersed throughout. You'll want the citric acid and epsom salts to be in a granulated form. If you find they are
too chunky,
place them in a small coffee grinder to get a finer grade.
Step Two
Combine oil, water/glycerin, fragrance, borax, and colorant in a separate bowl and mix well.
Step Three
Slowly drizzle the oil/water/glycerin mixture into the dry ingredients. You DON'T want the mixture to fizz as you
drizzle, so
take your time. Don't drizzle the wet ingredients too fast, but be sure to miix the dry and wet ingredients
thoroughly.
Step Four
Once mixed, pack the mixture into each 3-D mold half. It's OK to overfill each half. You want the mixture to have
the
texture of slightly moist wet sand. The mixture should hold together when squeezed in the palm of your hand.
Step Five
Refrain from twisting the two filled halves. Instead, firmly push the two halves together. Remove any excess
mixture from
outside of mold with your fingers or by wiping the perimeter with a paper towel.
Step Six
You will want to unmold 1/2 at a time by gently tapping the first half of the mold a few time with your fingers.
Let the bath bomb fall out of the mold one half at a time. Do not use forced or twist.
Should the bath bomb crumble upon removal, do NOT discard. Instead, add a small amount of oil (1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon)
and
reshape the mixture into the mold.
Step Seven
Once removing from molds, allow bath bombs to air dry undisturbed for 3 days on a clean kitchen dish towel or on
waxed
paper.

use the natural
pigments (located in the soap making area).
Lay your crystals out on parchment paper. Sprinkle the powdered pigments over the rocks and mist your fragrance
oil over
the rocks and color. Let the rocks dry on
parchment paper. Once the rocks are dry you can burn them in the aroma lamps. You can add extra drops of oil to
